2011 Holidays and beyond!

This is the first year since 2008 that I have been way ahead of ‘the game’ in terms of preparing for the holiday rush of book ornaments moondropshop seems to get.  I have started to cut all my mixed paper to size, and arrange the bookboards in to neat piles ahead of time, so I can piece my custom orders together and sew em’ up as soon as they come in.

My goals for the up and coming year is to get this web site up and running, and to keep posting new listings even after all the holiday craziness has ended.  In the past I have tended to rush through holiday orders, ending up in a tailspin by new years, which has caused me to take long breaks in posting new items to my shop.  I am willing myself to overcome this artistic inertia this time around.  If I keep going at the rate I have been since october I should be able to stay on top of it all throughout 2012.  This year, I am also learning some new artistic techniques- heat embossing, box and card making, stenciling, etc.  I am going to be adding some new sections to my shop in January, and am hoping to keep the interest I have gotten around the holidays throughout the new year.

Thanks for reading, a bientot!
